Status Quo

So far, so good. No fever, no signs of infection or labor. Our little boy is still making fluid and that is making it easier to feel them both now. They are driving the nurses crazy for monitoring as their heart rates are so often similar and then hang out right next to one another. The nurses can almost never get separate tracings of their heart rates.

Sonograms all look good so far. Now it is just waiting. My butt and back are getting stiff, but whatever.

The logistical nightmare continues. Our lawyer actually called saying the buyers of our house are getting all freaked out. Resident Boy was kinda upset being the lawyer should be working for us and more concerned about our situation. I'm going to handle it today. He got slammed yesterday trying to make up the on-call night he missed on Tuesday -- so he had been in surgery for 24 hours straight. I'm going to try and tackle the utilities issues and pay bills today as the WiFi seems to have spottily kicked in.

My brother should be out in Santa Monica receiving the moving delivery today. But we still haven't figured out who or how he will get the stuff into the apartment. Oh yeah, then the realty group give Resident Boy a hard time when he clues them in on our plans that they need a fax from him saying he gives my brother permission to get into our apartment. If we hadn't told them they wouldn't even have known. Liability issues in our country are just getting ridiculous.

Okay, better use the WiFi for more essential things before I lose it. I'll do my best to keep you updated. Thanks for all your support -- it really means a lot. I'm not a pray-er, but I'll take those too.

This is just not the stuff you need right now. I wanted to suggest increasing vitamin c as that can help sacs reseal and strengthen.

I just got caught up. What a freakin' nightmare! Hang in there. Hopefully those babies will stay in there for a while longer and everything will work itself out.

Sending some good thoughts and prayers you way. You have a lot going on and I'll be keeping you in my thoughts. I myself will be on the couch the rest of my pregnancy so I have a lot of time to send good thoughts and wishes to you!

I haven't caught up all the way yet, but you are in my thoughts. Good luck and many well-wishes to your family.

You really know how to pile on the stress, my friend! I'm so sorry that things are completely crazy right now. I'm glad you are in a good hospital and that the babies are cooperating. When I tell you that I will pray for you every day, I am not joking.

If I lived closer, I'd take The Snake off your hands. Megan has gotten really nutty with her friends lately and needs an older boy around to put her in her place. I suspect The Snake could do the trick. :-)

Thinking of you, hoping things stay stable and as boring as possible for as long as possible,

Hope everything continues to look good wth the babies. You've got so much going on, I cant imagine the wrench this throws into the plans. Hang in there - the end result will be so worth it. I am bedrested (home) now, too. I will be commenting daily for sure!! :-)

Oh Amy! Your #1 job right now is to get those babies big and healthy enough to deliver safely. Of course, I am sorry that this is coming at the absolute worst time and at a time when you are likely needed the most. It sounds like your family and local friends are pulling together to help, which is such a good thing. Take every bit of help that comes your way...you can pay it back or forward later.

From my end, beau coup good thoughts and prayers coming your way. You know, I used to not believe that strongly in a higher power either but as Cowboy pointed out to me once, "He hasn't let me down big time yet..."

Thinking of you, Resident Boy and The Snake (and of course the babies, too).

xoxo,
Ms. P

Oooh! I'm so sorry that you're going through all of this, but you need to remember that there is "good" at the end of this. All of the house stuff will get worked out and your family is going to do whatever is necessary to help you fatten up those babies and take it easy! I'm right there with you at 29 weeks and after reading your story, my husband is ultra-concerned...can't blame him...this is scary! I'm glad you're in good hands and taking it easy. I will be checking back in to see how you're doing. Take care!

I'm glad you're doing ok and i'm thinking of you and sending positive thoughts.

Sounds like you could do with cushions and rubber rings too, to help the sore butt.

Hope you carry on going in the right direction xx

Glad to see things are still good.

I am so sorry for all of the complications right now. I know you know that everything else will work itself out and that the babies are the most important thing, but it's still hard to see that when you are in the middle of money matters of moving crisis.

And YES, your lawyer should be more worried about how YOU are doing than those stupid buyers.

I am sending lots of love and prayers your way, my Dear.

Sorry, I meant still good like they're in there and hanging on. And you're hanging in.

My goodness...what a load of stress! I'm so glad the babies are doing okay -- that is most important! Just hang in there.

Just getting caught up, and hon, you will be okay, this will work out. 29 almost 30 weeks is huge in a NICU esp for twins and those steroids are wonderful.

I'll be crossing my fingers and hoping like hell for you.

Damn. I hope you (and they) hang tight.

Is there anything I can do for you? I work in NYC...

I am not a pray-er either, but I deal in hope. I am hoping for the best for you.
